In Response

The Presidential Innovation Fellowship Foundation (PIFF) Board was shocked and disturbed by the recent reports concerning Mr. Clay Johnson’s admitted inappropriate behavior and alleged sexual assault and harassment that was brought to light in a recent article published by the Huffington Post on May 4th. On May 15th, the PIFF Board, in accordance with its bylaws, called for a member-wide vote to expel Mr. Johnson, an alumni of the PIF program, from the Foundation. Mr. Johnson resigned from the Foundation on May 15th. The PIFF will continue to support and advocate for a safe and professional working environment for everyone, including women and people of color. To this end, the Foundation is starting a dialogue within the community concerning the creation of a Code of Ethics and creating a safe space for alumni to discuss this topic.
