Why the Puerto Rican Government’s Electricity Statistics are Misleading

I spent the last six days visiting towns of all sizes in Puerto Rico and talking to as many people as I could.

All of the evidence and every person I spoke to believes that about 20%, perhaps 30% at most, of homes in Puerto Rico have power right now delivered by electric company. Yest the status.pr website published by AEE (Autoridad de Energía Eléctrica), the electric company of Puerto Rico, say that “AAE Generation” is 65.60%.
